- Asuming that you already have XnView installed, open the program.
- Select the Convert button
or Tools > Multi Convert...
- Select the
Add Folder... button. In the Browse for Folder window, navigate to the folder containing the images you want to make thumbnails from. Select OK.
Note: XnView selects all of the files, sub-folders, and their contents and adds them to the input window. Make sure that there are no non-image files listed.
- Under
Output, type in your destination directory or select the ... button to open the Browse for Folder window and choose your destination folder.
- Select the
Advanced Operations button, select Resize then select the --> button.
- Under
Parameters, select the width and height you would like to use as either a fixed number or a percentage. Select OK.
Note: XnView will change the extension of every image it converts to whatever is selected in the drop-down box under the directory input box. This is where the $thumb_extension variable in emAlbum.cfg comes in handy. For more details, read the Configuration page.
- Verify that the settings are correct and then select
Go. After XnView finishes creating your thumbnails, you can upload them to your server.
